Senior Counselor

Named as one of Capitol Weekly’s “Top 100” of Capitol influencers, Beth is one of the most respected communications professionals in the state and has served as a counselor to governors, statewide elected officials, members of Congress and numerous other federal, state and local government officials. She began working with Media & Associates over a decade ago directing media outreach and serving on the company’s strategic executive team.

As a communications and outreach strategist for some of the state’s largest business interests, companies and associations, Beth has played a pivotal role in executing successful public affairs and ballot measure campaigns over the last two decades, which included some of California’s most contentious issues.

As California’s Chief Assistant Secretary of State, Beth developed and implemented broad-based policy reforms and modernization strategies for the California Secretary of State’s office, many of which made California a nationwide leader in modernizing elections and campaign finance systems. As a senior political advisor to several Secretaries of State, Beth has been involved with key issues in California and at the national level, including the Help America Vote Act and providing litigation support and communications strategies around the legal challenges to the California Open Primary and Term Limits laws.

Beth is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Political Consultants.
