Kevin Reikes has 30 years of experience in candidate, initiative, and public affairs campaigns, and a winning record in California's most contested legislative and local electoral battles. In the past four election cycles, Reikes has focused on expanding the ranks of California’s “New Democrats” Caucus, winning legislative elections and artfully navigating the interests of labor, business, and political parties. His ability to work with such a wide range of interests is attributed to his broad client base ranging from private sector labor unions to the giants of corporate America including the energy, insurance, agriculture and housing sectors.
In 2015, the Los Angeles Times cited one of Reikes’s statewide communications efforts as the new model for how legislative advocacy will be waged in the future. Nimble, focused and aggressive have always been hallmarks of Reikes’s operations.
Reikes has served as political director for leaders in the California State Legislature, and as a press secretary has helped the media carry his clients' messages throughout the United States. In 1996 Reikes expanded Media & Associates’ analytics group and established Research, Analytics & Strategy, California’s first public opinion survey firm solely dedicated to the needs of those targeting voters for direct mail, electronic media, and the emerging social media space.
An alumnus of the University of California at Davis, Reikes has been a guest lecturer at the University of Southern California and the University of California at Berkeley. He and his wife live on a small organic farm in Winters, California.
